ELECT
ANTHONY CAGGIANO
REVERE SCHOOL COMMITTEE
I am a candidate for the Revere School Committee. Currently, I am the school committee member of Northeast Regional Vocational High School for the City of Revere. I was a member of Teamsters Local 25 for 45 years and a graduate of Revere High School, North Shore Community College, and Suffolk University.
I strongly believe that our education system needs to evolve to keep pace with a changing world.
The integration of vocational education into our schools is a crucial step in keeping up with the changing world. Currently, Northeast lacks the capacity to meet the growing demand from Revere students for vocational programs and it is time for us to address this issue.
In September of this year, Northeast Regional is set to launch a plumbing program at Revere High School for the first time ever. While this is a step in the right direction, I believe we should go even further by offering additional vocational education opportunities at Revere High School. By doing so, we can provide our students with a broader range of choices and equip them with the skills necessary to secure good jobs or pursue higher education.
The changing economy underscores the importance of vocational education now more than ever. By providing practical skills and diverse options, we can better prepare our students for successful futures.
Revere’s students need more choices, and investing in vocational education can lead to a brighter future for our community. Lets take this crucial step towards offering a well-rounded education that meets the needs of all our students.
I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 7th.
